Management Team

With diverse experience in technology, online communications, and large scale product development, the team is focused on increasing civic engagement and developing technology for the greater good.

Daniel Goldman, Chief Executive

Daniel Goldman founded Edge Driven to merge his drive to meaningfully contribute to society with his two decades of using technology for education and community building.  In 1983, Daniel created one of the leading early online communities, "The Inner Circle" BBS, a popular and innovative early bulletin board service.  Daniel had the privilege of developing the PC versions of Will Wright's products SimCity, SimAnt and SimEarth, which have sold over a million copies.  In 1994, Daniel co-founded online company Planet Optigon; as its CEO, his team created and launched the first national Total Entertainment Network, partnering with over 20 leading computer entertainment companies.  Total Entertainment Network became Pogo.com and sold to Electronic Arts in 2001.  During this time he helped the World Health Organization create educational simulations for health workers, and assisted the Environmental Protection Agency in implementing SuperFund site cleanup tools.  Just prior to founding Edge Driven, Daniel was VP Product Development and COO of Posit Science, a neuroscience-based brain-fitness game company founded by Dr. Michael Merzenich.

Daniel received a BA in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and did graduate studies in Cognitive Psychology/Neuroscience at New York's Columbia University.  Daniel currently sits on the board of Project3650, the New Progressive Coalition, and is an adviser to the Wildflowers Institute and Affective Interfaces. 

Wes Harris, Chief of Operations

Wes Harris has spent much of his career developing web-based marketing technologies and entertainment properties to connect people to one another.

He managed online production, including web development and online presence, and served as Director of Product Marketing for VIZ Media, the #1 publisher in the fast-growing manga book category and producer of several top shows on Cartoon Network.  Prior to VIZ Media, Wes developed ran a national online services platform as Managing Director for Global VR, a leading arcade game manufacturer.  While at Global VR, he developed and deployed successful automated online marketing services to allow the company to reach its users and players with timely, individually-targeted information.

Wes founded an animation and art development studio called Secret Weapon, which produced multimedia assets for such industry leaders as Electronic Arts and Sony before being acquired by Global VR.  As VP of Marketing and Business Development for White Wolf Publishing he helped the company grow to the #2 spot in the hobby game industry as well as spearheading licensing initiatives to game, television and entertainment companies, including a large catalog of licensed merchandise and a prime-time television show on the Fox Network with Spelling Entertainment.

Lilian Chou, Chief of Strategic Relationships

Lilian joined Edge Driven to bring together her commitment to volunteerism and strong interest in environmental and woman's issues with her experience in helping business partners to be more successful.  Lilian started the in-house recycling programs for Liz Claiborne, helped to found and run the San Francisco branch of a women's support organization called Women in Animation, and at Autodesk helped to integrate environmental messages with clients such as P&G, Nike, Mattel and GM.

For the past 15 years, Lilian Chou has been employed in diverse industries with some of the most competitive companies in the world: Autodesk, a $1.8 Billion company focused on design software, and Liz Claiborne, a $4.9 Billion fashion industry leader.

Throughout her career, Lilian's focus has been on Business Strategy, Business Development, Partner Development and Sales.  She is known for her ability to successfully build new business segments, to turn failing business segments around and to handle high level executive relationships.

Carlo A Latasa, Chief Software Architect

Carlo has been at the forefront of new technology development throughout his career.  He has designed a wide variety of online and technology applications, products and solutions for industries ranging from Aerospace to Information Technology to GPS. 

Carlo is experienced managing development of high quality solutions with on time delivery.  For Raytek, one of the world's leading suppliers of industrial measurement instruments, he led the development of mass produced commercial electronics products.  He has managed development of online banking and benefits applications for Fortune 500 companies.  Most recently he combined his passion for developing practical technologies and brining individuals together when working to help create Garmin Connect, an online community for outdoor enthusiasts, built around Garmin brands.

Carlo brings over 10 years of object oriented software design and architecture and over 20 years of system analysis and design.  He has his B.S. from Cal Poly SLO in Electrical Engineering Technology and a M.S. from UCLA in Materials Science.
